Biotta Fit Breakfast Drink provides energy to start the day. Its recipe is made of organically-raw materials including freshly-pressed orange and grape juice, whey from whey powder, banana puree, malt extract, honey and egg.
Biotta uses lactofermentation (a natural preservative method) in the manufacture of this drink. Whey, the milk "serum" - perhaps familiar to you as the watery substance that separates from the solid portions of yoghurt - contains lactic acid. It has been found that adding whey to vegetable juices gives the preservative effect of lactofermentation without altering the natural taste of the original vegetables.
Juices preserved in this manner can be shipped and stored for extended periods of time without loss of flavour or nutritional value, and without resorting to chemical preservation. | |
